Combining fresh heirloom fruits of the Pacific Northwest with exotic spices of India, Cardamom Hills Trading Company chutneys represent a crossroad of cultures. The brand draws its inspiration from southern India’s Cardamom Hills, where the founder’s grandparents established their coffee plantation during British colonial rule. The chutney recipes are British adaptions of the venerable Indian condiment and use only fruits grown near the founder’s adopted home of Portland, Oregon. The branding and packaging design sought to evoke British colonial India while presenting a sophisticated and distinctive line of Pacific Northwest chutneys.
